The Caerleon Championship is the race championship exclusively for Caerleon RC members. In 2019 this event ran for the first time but mirrored the Casnewydd Championship that we compete in alongside Lliswerry Runners.
This year members have a huge choice of events to participate in.
You will be able to collect an additional 40 points if you participate in the GLCL Road Races and XC series. Each one of these races is worth an additional 5 points to your total with a maximum of 20 points on offer for the Road Races and likewise for the XC.
You have a choice of 30 events to join in with from 1 mile races to half marathons. Also included this year is a Caerleon RC exclusive handicap race.

March 2020
March 2020 started with the Newport Half Marathon followed by the rearranged date for the Llanelli Half. The final GLCL XC race also took place in Rogertsone. Unfortunately following this, the onset of the COVID-19 crisis kicked in and subsequent events were either postponed or cancelled completely. All the rearranged dates or cancellations that have been announced are listed above. We will monitor the situation as they develop, and will review the championship points criteria, as and when necessary.
